    Kanken Toyama

In 1948, the All Japan Karate-do Federation (Zen Nihon Karate-do Renmei)  was formed. The founding members were Tsuyoshi Chitose, Gichin Funakoshi, Kenwa Mabuni, Higa Seko, and Toyama Kanken. Dr. Chitose would serve as the organization's first president.
