Under this company name Mr. Davenport teaches numerous types of self protection based seminars. Mr. Davenport has been teaching Police Self-Defense & Control Tactics since 1982. He served as the tactical (empty hand) self-defense instructor for the Kentucky State Police Special Response Team for two years. Since 1985, he has taught numerous classes to the US Military (Specializing in Combatives for US Army Special Forces Units), City Police Departments, Sheriffs Departments, Detention Centers, Judges, Doctors as well as Fire and EMS Departments and Private individuals. Mr. Davenport has trained for over 30 years in a very unique style of karate (Chito-ryu) . He served in the Military Intelligence Community as a Counter Intelligence Agent in the 11th Special Forces Group of the US Army. He worked as a paid Firefighter and served as a front line Paramedic for over 12 years with the Frankfort Fire Department in Frankfort, Ky. Not only has he studied the application based system of Chito-ryu karate, he has also had the opportunity to train under many "Senior" Japanese, Okinawan, Canadian and American karate, jujitsu and aikijujutsu Sensei. Working as a paramedic has given Mr. Davenport unique knowledge of the bodies anatomy and physiology, which greatly enhances the application principles of the techniques he teaches. His constantly having had to treat traumatic injuries, injuries which are not so far removed from the same types of injuries inflicted by many martial arts techniques has given Mr. Davenport unique insight into the limitations of the human body as well as the advanced applications of offensive and defensive tactics. Recently, Mr. Davenport has taught classes to the 20th Special Forces Group prior to their deployment into Afghanistan as well as teaching several doctors and individual soldiers prior to their deployments into Iraq. Mr. Davenport is available to teach a wide variety of seminars and can accommodate as many as 100 people at a time.
