Rapid Response

Defensive Systems

Police & Security Personnel

      Seminars

"When an officer is facing a life or death situation, the knowledge of a particular technique without the ability to physically apply that technical knowledge is worthless.." Jim Davenport

Course Methodology used in teaching all seminars:

1.    Short lecture:  Covers the specific topics to be taught as well as a safety and legal briefing .

2.    Technical Demonstration:  Each technique being taught will be preceded by a demonstration of the technique itself. This will assist the officer in applying what he has visualized. It is also during this phase that the officer will witness the technique being applied at slow, moderate and full combat speed.

3.    Execution of Techniques: During this phase, the officer will work the technique being taught. The officer will be taught why the technique is applied in a particular manner and the principles pertaining to the technique being applied.

4.    Application of Techniques: The officer will apply the defensive techniques he has learned from various angles as well as from various methods of attack.

                Safety Items:

In any case where officers will be going to the ground, Mats will be used to provide a safe training environment. Mats will be furnished by either the seminar host or by Mr. Davenport. If the seminar host does not have mats available and would like for us to furnish the mats, we must be notified prior to the seminar itself. Professional mats are expensive and can cost over $400.00 each, therefore an additional charge may be added if we furnish the mats.
